Laith Wark

Laith is a landscape architect. arboriculturist and urban designer with over 20 years of experience across the Gulf region. He has led teams to deliver high-profile national projects, including the Founders Memorial in Abu Dhabi, the Parliament House of Oman, and the Royal Muscat Opera House.

Laith has been a resident of the UAE since 2002 and understands what it means to live with extreme climate in a Gulf city. He has worked and travelled extensively in the UAE, KSA, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Iran. Laith led the Dubai studio for 20 years and now leads the NatureCulture design studio in Florence, Italy.

Laith has completed over 200 projects in the Gulf region, improving the human experience of outdoor environments. His approach centers on using trees as urban design elements, enhancing spatial qualities and outdoor thermal comfort.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Built Environment (Distinction), Queensland University of Technology, Australia.
  • Post-Graduate Diploma in Arboriculture, University of Melbourne, Australia.
