NatureCulture

Dubai One Central

Tree gardens create a incomparable green paradise for an exclusive business district in central Dubai.

City streets overspilling with plants, dappled light and birdsong feel more like country lanes than inner city spaces.

NatureCulture designs trees as an urban design elements to define masses and voids and create a rhythm of spatial experiences. Tree canopies overhead envelope street spaces with cooling shade to improve urban thermal comfort.

Planting beds soften the visual experience. These urban gardens provide perfect settings for the ample seating along all the streets.

As the overgrown planting spills over hard edges, it creates an unexpectedly soft, garden-like character. The view from inside the buildings is of scenes fringed in green. Then, when tree foliage moves in the wind, dynamic patterns of dappled light appear on pavements and building façades.

Tree canopies, small water features and overgrown gardens attract birdlife . Can you hear the birdsong among the treetops? This NatureCulture design creates tranquil spaces to enjoy lunch breaks or to break out and discuss new ideas.

The series of rooftop terraces are planted spaces that appear to levitate like green flying carpets between the buildings. The NatureCulture design transformed these terraces into truly usable spaces with incredible views across the Dubai World Trade Centre precinct.
