Review: City trees halve cities’ extra heat but barely offset global warming

We review a new study that estimates how much trees cool the air in every large city in the world. Its global findings are useful, but they leave gaps for Gulf cities. Coastal humidity was not tested, and water is treated as a limit on planting, even though irrigation networks using treated sewage effluent supply ample water across the region.
